AHiS with Leighton House Museum:
Study Day for Teachers and Sixth Form Students exploring a range of Islamic Art
Aimed at teachers and students of the new Edexcel Global A-level syllabus, this day will focus on key works on the syllabus (Art & Nature, Art & Identities, and Art & War) from Mughal miniatures, to the architecture of Sinan, to contemporary images of the veil as well as exploring Orientalism in the context of Leighton House itself.
