Alex Borthwick

Alex Borthwick is a History of Art Teacher at Ibstock Place School. She studied History at Oxford University before gaining her MA at the Courtauld Institute of Art, specialising in the Architecture and City Planning of Baroque Rome. She then worked in a commercial gallery in London, specialising in Modern British Art before joining Art History Abroad as a Tutor, travelling and teaching Gap Year students in Italy. Whilst working for AHA Alex wrote a book on an Old English Family. She is founder and director of The Bigger Picture, a consultancy working to help promote critical looking and Art History in schools.
