Jonathan Casely

Jonathan Casely teaches A Level History of Art alongside GCSE History, EPQs and Italian IB at a girls' school in his native Dorset. He read History of Art and Italian at the University of Birmingham, with a year studying at Urbino in Italy. He wrote his dissertation on the First World War art of Otto Dix and completed his MPhil in History of Art at Birmingham, focusing on 14th Century Sienese Art. Jonathan achieved Qualified Teacher Status while teaching History of Art and History at Bryanston School in Dorset and also examined for AQA HART1 becoming a senior examiner for that paper for three years. Jonathan has mainly taught Renaissance and Twentieth Century modules as well as using various local and London collections, and has contributed resources on ‘Art & War’ for the new Edexcel A level.
