Dr Sussan Babaie

Sussan Babaie is Andrew W. Mellon Reader in the Arts of Iran and Islam at the Courtauld Institute of Art. Born in Iran, Sussan holds a Master’s degree in Italian Renaissance and American Arts and a PhD at the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU, where she focused on the arts of Islam. She has taught at Smith College and the University of Michigan in America and consulted widely on Persian and Islamic arts.
